This week's dumb answer comes
straight from contestant's row.

Say hello to Rachel as she comes on down at the start of the show. She's
about to bid on the first item up for bid on The Price is Right!

"It's a new scooter!" Specifically, it's a Kymco People 150 scooter.
After hearing bids of $1500 & $2000 which are sensible. It's Rachel's
turn.

That's the face of someone who doesn't know where they are and what
they're doing. Alright, Rachel, lay it on us.

"$7000?"

Thank you, Miz.
Apparently, Rachel was thinking she was bidding on an actual motorcycle
as opposed to a scooter.
Needless to say, she overshot the runway with her bid. The actual retail
price was $2799.
Don't feel too bad for Rachel. She won wake boarding equipment (the
show's 3rd item up for bids), and after losing the Hi-Lo game, she won
her showcase showdown and ultimately came within $655 of the price of
her showcase and won a trip to Hawaii, time on a yacht and more for a
total haul of $26,484.
That said, Rachel has some all too true words that any contestant on the
show can relate to.

"This is so much easier when you're watching it on television."
Truer words have yet to be spoken.
