An open letter to Golden Road.

Dear Seth Thrasher and Golden Road.

This open letter is a response to the response of the original uploading of the induction entitled, “Those Golden Fanbois Who Live Down The Road On The Internet”. After reading the open letter, I talked with Carl and others and realized that the original version crossed a lot of lines that didn’t need to be crossed, especially with the naming of certain forum members that didn’t need to be said, and quoting directly from the Encyclopedia Dramatica article written by a very jaded ex-forum member, who from what I got from other members got pissed because nobody would answer his questions were the two biggest offenses in the entire article. For the original writing, I do admit that emotions got the better of me after I read the e-mail that I referenced at the end.

When I read about how certain members wouldn’t let her grieve, my emotions immediately went towards my brother who lost his father due to cancer. I immediately threw caution to the wind and used napalm when it just only called for a sniper rifle. Did I overreact? Yes. And for that, I do apologize to those who were offended by me going off the deep end. I made everyone talk about my website for all the wrong reasons.

I do stick by the induction, but the edited version moreso now than the original. As you yourself pointed out, members of the site do take the show too seriously, and that was the entire notion of the induction: Stop taking every little thing that the show does so seriously. I know I won’t appease everyone with this response, as I know I have had dissenters about anything I say going back even before I started this website. Either way, thanks for hearing me out.
